The Lesson Of History

Ok, so today we got talking about the big ol' RNC, because it's happening less than an hour from me. Scary thought. So, in history, we got talking about McCain and his POW experinces. My history teacher made a slideshow on some of the facts about McCain, including education, service, his experince during the service, his politics education, and what things should benefit him as a potential president. One thing that came out from my history teacher's mouth was:

Yesterday is the past. Today is the present. Tomorrow is the future. Let what you learned in the past shape today; let what you do today shape the future.

Do not dwell in the past, is pretty much what comes out. If you answer a question incorrectly, do not take it as utter failure. Learn from it. If you hear the right answer, nine times out of ten you'll remember it for the test and get that answer correctly. It is simple as that.

Words from a previous history teacher - So what? You got it wrong. Big deal. Tomorrow on the test, you'll be ready for it. Tomorrow, the test, is what matters. Today, yes, you made a mistake. Tomorrow, you'll be more prepared and ready to do it. Tomorrow is what matters; not today, not yesterday.
